TYLER, Texas - The No. 1 seed Navarro College Bulldogs defeated the Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers 12-2 in six innings at Irwin Field at UT Tyler Ballpark, Saturday afternnon. The Bulldogs scored at least one run in every inning, including a four run sixth inning which led to the run-rule victory. Navar2-forro advances to Sunday's championship round, while BPCC will play Blinn College at 6 p.m. in an elimination game.

Navarro got a stellar pitching performance from starter Jake Combs, who scattered six hits over six innings, allowed two runs, one walk and struck out six to earn the victory.

Bulldogs shortstop Cash Rugely, who is a Kansas State commitment, paced the NC offensive attack by going 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs, two walks and two runs scored. 

BPCC designated hitter Gabriel Cabrear went 2-for-2 in the game with a double, a walk, a RBI and a run scored in the losing effort.
