BPCC Men's Basketball Earns NABC Team Academic Excellence Award

Bossier Parish Community College's men's basketball team has earned the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) 2025-26 Team Academic Excellence Award in recognition of its outstanding achievement in the classroom. The award honors men's basketball programs at all levels of collegiate competition that finished the 2025-26 academic year with a cumulative team grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

The NABC presents its academic awards annually to recognize outstanding achievement in the classroom by college basketball programs and student-athletes nationwide, with more than 400 programs earning Team Academic Excellence Awards for the 2025-26 academic year.

"College basketball student-athletes do incredible things on the court, but their achievements in the classroom are equally worthy of celebration," said NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson. "Education is one of the NABC's core values, and the hundreds of programs and thousands of athletes represented on these awards reinforce the commitment to academic success that exists across all levels of our sport."

BPCC Head Men's Basketball Coach Jeff Moore said the recognition reflects the program's commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically.

"This award speaks to the character and discipline of our student-athletes," Moore said. "I'm incredibly proud of the work they've put into the classroom, and this recognition reflects the culture we've built at BPCC. Our goal is to prepare these young men for success in whatever comes next, whether that's continuing their education, advancing their basketball careers or entering the workforce."
