Carthage, TX. — Bossier Parish Community College came up short on the road Tuesday night, falling 79–60 to Panola College in a Region XIV matchup. The Cavaliers move to 8–3 on the season and 2–1 in conference play as they look to regroup for their final game of 2025 this weekend.
BPCC was led by sophomore guard Tony Montgomery, who posted 22 points and four assists. Drew Cooper added 14 points, five rebounds, two steals, and a block, while Zequan Lewis finished with 10 points and seven boards. Despite several strong individual efforts, the Cavaliers were unable to close the gap after Panola extended its lead in the second half.
“Tough loss on the road, but this group will bounce back,” said first-year Bossier Parish coach Jeff Moore. “Panola shot lights out and pounded us on the boards which led to them keeping us out of reach to make a run. We played hard but just weren’t at our best on the defensive end. We will regroup and be ready to play at home on Saturday to close out 2025.”
The Cavaliers return to Coach Billy Montgomery Gym this Saturday, Dec. 13, at 4pm, hosting Angelina College of Lufkin, Texas, in another key Region XIV matchup. The contest marks BPCC’s final game of the calendar year as the team seeks a win to carry momentum into a challenging January slate.
BPCC will open the new year by hosting nationally ranked Trinity Valley Community College on Saturday, Jan. 3, at 4pm.
