Men’s Basketball: Cavaliers Close Regular Season with Road Win at Coastal Bend

BEEVILLE, TX – The Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers closed out the regular season with an impressive road victory over Coastal Bend College, fueled by balanced scoring and strong late-game execution.

Freshman guard Tony Montgomery led the Cavaliers with a standout performance, recording 29 points, 12 assists, six rebounds, and three steals. Zequan Lewis added 26 points and five rebounds, while Drew Cooper contributed 25 points, five rebounds, and three steals to power the BPCC offense. The Cavaliers battled through a slow start in the first half but stayed within striking distance and went into halftime trailing by just three points. BPCC responded in the closing minutes of the game, making key plays on both ends of the floor to take control and secure the road win.

“We played very sluggish in the first half but kept fighting to stay in the game going into halftime down three,” said Head Coach Jeff Moore. “Great job by our whole team stepping up the last six minutes of the game to get a lead by making plays and getting stops to finish with a road win at one of the toughest places to win in our league.”

With the win, the Cavaliers head into postseason play as they prepare for the Region XIV Conference Tournament. BPCC will face Angelina College in the first round on Tuesday, March 10, with tip-off scheduled for 8pm at Lee College in Baytown, Texas.
