Bossier City, LA — Bossier Parish Community College carried momentum into halftime and built an eight-point cushion midway through the second half, but a late surge by Lee College proved decisive as the Cavaliers fell 92–79 in Region XIV action Wednesday night.
BPCC set the pace early and carried a 41–40 lead into halftime, then pushed the advantage to 67–59 with under 12 minutes remaining. Lee capitalized on a series of late turnovers to seize the momentum, taking the lead with eight minutes left and pulling away as the Cavaliers were unable to recover.
“Lee made the plays they needed to make late to come away with the win,” Head Coach Jeff Moore said. “It’s a tough home loss, but our focus shifts immediately to preparing for our game at Blinn [College] on Saturday.”
Tony Montgomery had a standout all-around performance, finishing with 24 points, nine assists, one block and one steal. Drew Cooper added 21 points, six rebounds and a block, while Dustin Welch contributed 11 points, seven rebounds, a block and a steal. Mazin Lumori chipped in eight points and four rebounds.
